I-FLEX PAPER ON 15th APRIL,2007 AT WEST BENGAL

Total 50 questions were there. ( +1 mark for each right answer
and -0.25 for each wrong.)
Duration was 1 hour……

The APTI paper consisted of 5 sections with 10 questions in each.
1. ENGLISH TEST.
2. DATA INTERPRITATION.
3. CODING-DECODING & SERIES.
4. CONCLUSION DRAWING & LOGICAL REASONING.
5. QUANTITIVE APTITUDE.

1. ENGLISH TEST
4 questions were from analogy and 6 were from reading comprehension.
This section was tough. To answer this section completely one needs to have depth
in English. So, it was not my cup of teaJ… I attempted only 5.(Because –ve marking
was there.)

2. DATA INTERPRETATION
2 tables were given on the basis of them 10 questions (5 for each) were there.
They were tricky for sure but at the same time not to tough. I did 9 of them and
was sure that they were going to fetch me 9 marks. So, this section gave me a extra
bit of oxygen after that mess is the English part. Practicing from R.S.Agarwal
Quantitative Aptitude book helped me.

3. CODING-DECODING & SERIES This part was easy and I correctly answered 10 of them…. For this part R.S.Agarwal Verbal-nonverbal book is enough…..
eg: (It is not the exact one but of same type)
Q. If the word CAPTAIN is coded like NCNVYKC then what is the code for OBSCURE?
Q. 1 7 8 9 6 4 5 6 3 2 7 3 92 99 4 66 36 33 5 664 737 20.
How many even numbers are immediately following another even number?
How many even nos. are immediately followed by 2 even nos.?

4. CONCLUSION DRAWING & LOGICAL REASONING
I didn’t even read the conclusion drawing questions because time was running out. I solved only 2 logical reasoning (2 small ones) and moved on to the next section, as there was no sectional
cut-off.

5. QUANTITIVE APTITUDE.
I managed to solve only 5 before time ended. This part consisted of problems from Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Profit-loss etc. After that I took a calculated risk
and in the last minute I marked almost 4-5 questions about which I was not so sure, thinking if luck helps me then it will get me 4-5 marks. But it was too risky so, it will be better if you people don’t try it….. You don’t need to answer them all. Try to answer at least 30-35 questions and believe me that’s enough. The cut-off generally stays around 25 depending on the level of compitition. At around 4:30 our result was out….. Among total 3500+ candidates from 41 engg. colleges of West Bengal 178 was selected.

In the H.R form some topics were like:
1. Frank assessment of yourself.
2. Your achievements.
3. Long-term and short-term goals.
4. What do you seek from a job. And a few more.

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:
It was an easy going one. At first he asked me to introduce myself then to tell something about I-FLEX. I told him everything I’ve learned from Internet about I-flex. He was impressed by my answers and asked me to solve 4 problems of quantitive aptitude. I was able to answer only the first 3 as the last one was a problem on infinite G.P series and I’ve forgotten all those formulas. So, he gave me another one from A.P series and said, “ It’s your last chance!!!!!!!!”…. Thank god, at that point I was able recall some formulas of A.P and eventually to solve that problem and grab the ‘last chance’. He was very happy to see that I solved that and asked me to wait outside for the HR round. So, at that point it was clear to me that I’ve cleared the tech round because only those people were asked to wait who cleared the tech interview.

H.R ROUND:

Intvr: Have you got your lunch ?
Me: No, mam.
Intvr: Why? It almost 3:00 p.m.(With a smile)
Me: Actually I thought to have it after the interview.
Intvr: Have you got any energy left in you, after this long hours? .( Again with a smile)
Me: Yes, a bit. (Now I gave a smile too!)
Intvr: Do you have any breaks in your studies?
Me: No, mam.
Intvr: Ok, then introduce yourself.
Me: answered and impressed her.
Intvr: Now tell me what do you know about I-FLEX.
Me: answered and impressed her.
Intvr: Tell me something about your family and school life.
Me: Answered. (It is always good to feel proud when talking about parents, so, I did. And she again appreciated my answer.)
Intvr: What are your short-term goal & long-term goal.
Me: I told my short-term goal but I forgot what I’ve prepared as long-term goal. So, after telling my short-term goal I started like ‘life is very dynamic, so in this fast changing life I don’t like to set-up long-term goals; I setup short-term ones and by achieving them I want to go up the
professional ladder. And I’m also a believer of slow but steady growth ’.
Intvr: Hmmm!!!!!!! That’s very good. So, what camera do you have? (Because I’ve written in the HR form that my hobby is Photography.)
Me: Nikon F; a 1965 model.
Intvr: What kind of pictures you like to take?
Me: I like to click silhouettes. And when I’ll visit Agra I’ll surely take a silhouette of Taj Mahal.
Intvr: (She again smiled and tilted her head in appreciation) Do you like music?
Me: Yes mam!!! My favorite band is ‘Poets of the Fall.’
Intvr: What song do you like most?
Me : ‘Carnival of Rust’.
Intvr: That’s impressive.
Intvr: Do you believe in god?
Me: (With a smile) My mother is my goddess and I believe her.
Intvr: (She was actually amazed by my answer) So, you love your mom?
Me: Yes!!!!! mam.
Intvr: Whats the meaning of tour name?
Me: Answered.
Intvr: Do you like to travel?
Me: Yes!!!!! I do.
Intvr: Do you have any problem in getting relocated?
Me: No!!! mam.(Now at this point I was getting the wind that I’m selected.)
Intvr: So, that’s all for the day. Hope to see you soon again.
Me:J Thank you mam!!!!! For interviewing me….
Intvr: Have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!!

I-FLEX PAPER ON 1st MAY ,2007 AT JAIPUR

There was three rounds in selection process:-
1 Aptitude
2 Technical interview
3 HR interview

1. The aptitude was of 60min with 50 questions to solve.
There was one mark for the correct one & -0.25 for wrong one..
This is a big elimination round…….
I think the cutoff was about 39marks..
Only 95 were selected out of 1500 students.

The whole paper was divided in five sections but there is no sectional cutoff….
First section was of English & passage like easy stuff.
Second section was of graphs & pie chart which is only section that was little bit time consuming & complex.
Third section was of data sufficiency like stuff and easy…..
Fourth section was mathematical & very easy to solve…
Fifth section was of LR & one question on puzzle the simple one…….

2. The short listed candidates then undergone the Technical interview…
That is the main decisive round in the process….
My technical interview was gone for about 35min. & it can be more.
They ask me about my C,C++ knowledge some basics & tricky once.
I spend most of the time in DBMS after he ask me for my favorite subject…
Some questions from Java also…(As I am a CS student)
For non CS student they just ask C & one subject to your choice….
Out of 95 students only 52 passed the Technical And I am the one..

3. the HR interview was just a easy one & goes for only 4-5min
the questions were :-
Family background (They have noted it)
Future plan
Last interview faced
What u do in free time?

Final stats 1500 appeared for aptitude 95 cleared then 52 cleared in technical & finally 41 candidates are selected…

I-FLEX PAPER ON 2nd APRIL 2007

Round 1: Aptitude Test
Round 2: Technical (Personal Interview)
Round 3: Human resourse (Personal Interview)

The questions are not so complex!
They are direct and easily approachable. Pattern:
Total Questions = 50 qs.
Total Time given = 60 mins. Mark Distribution: All questions carry 1 mark.
Correct Answers = +1 mark
Wrong Answers = -0.25 marks The paper is divided into 5 sections of 10 questions each.
Analytical reasoning, logical reasoning and Data Interpretations were the questions there. Questions on english language skills were more.
Puzzles were not asked. I don't remember all the questions, Some of them are given below.

Questions:
1-4. Find the pair which suits the best.
One of which i remember, I've given below
Q. Circuitous: Route
a. dumbfound: Astonishment
b. problem: solution and so on 5-8. Choose the best pair:
Here a sentence was given with two blank spaces. We have to find the best pair which fits into the sentence. 10-15. comprehension questions were asked
15-20. Data interpretation
21. A reasoning question was asked
22-24. A sentence was given, and one from a set of 4 solutions was asked to be opted, which gives the best solution or gives the correct meaning of the paragraph.
25-30. Data interpretation Here a table was given, and in it few data were missing. Keeping all other information in mind, we were asked to choose the correct answer for the given questions.( Not so tough )
30-35. Another data interpretation question was asked. Here the questions were easy. Be sure of the table given, because at first in tension I did not see the term 'total' below, so i considered it also to be a data and took it into calculation. Later i found that one out. But it was a waste of time. Even a single second counts!!!!
35-40.Verbal Reasoning questions were asked

This included questions like this. Some of which i remember are given below.
Q. All yyyy were swimmers;
All swimmers wear swim suits;
Sally wears swim suit;
Solns:
a. Sally does not know swimming
b. Sally is a swimmer
c. Sally is a yyyy
d. Data insufficient Q. Data coding was asked.
eg. if PRATAP can be coded as 736467 and MILAN was coded as 98561, how can PLANT be coded? (This was not the question, but the type is the same) 40-50. Only Analytical Questions Some of them are:

Q1. The square of a two digit number is divided by half the number, and 36 is added to the quotient. The sum is then divided by 2. The digits of the resulting number are the same as the number, but inreverse order. The digits in the tens place of the original number is twice the difference between the digits.which of the following could be the number?
a.64 b.36 c. 46 d. None of these

Q2. If a boat moves upstream with the speed of the boat as X and the speed of the stream is Y, what is the time taken by the boat to go upstream a distance of 90 kms and come back? (I'm not sure of the values of the speed of boat and stream ie., I dont remember the value of X and Y).

Q3. Auestion on sensex was asked. I dont remember the rest of the questions! Tips to attend effeciently:
1. Start-off with a word of prayer (This will increase the confidence level for sure)
2. Start attending questions of English Language skills and then logical or analytical reasoning.(This will accelerate your speed of problem as they would be easier. You can feel it!). 3. First read the question which you are going to attend fully. Don't write down the given data before reading the question fully. This is because, most of them would be easier than you think they are to be! The last portion of the question may have a hint to solve the question directly.
For example see Q1 in "40 - 50" .
4. When you feel a question is tough (even if they are not, but if you feel just on seeing ) move on to the next question. Don't waste time in a single question. THIS THE MISTAKE ALMOST EVERYONE WOULD DO. ( It may be even you! )
5. Don't hesitate to take risks. Even that counts! But be atleast 60% sure about it.
6. Attend atleast 40 - 45 questions. Don't go more than that. This would show that you are too confident on things which are not correct. These are for questions which have a chance of below 40% for being correct. Or it would show that you have copied or made a guess!
7. Look at your watch occasionally to be sure that you are not going beyond time for certain number of questions. Frequent time-watching would increae tension level. So be careful.
8. Please don't try to attempt any mal-practice. There are different codes of question papers (even choices may differ). Further the i-flex officials will be on rounds. This is for sure. They caught about 36 students for copying in our center. This may lead to consequences even upto disqualification for ever (in case if you would like to attend i-flex again).
9. Ifyou have time left out go for the questions you were doubtful and not for the questions that you did not get answer.(But there will not be time for that. Fortunately I had about 20 seconds left before handing over the paper)
10. Finally when you close your paper, finish it with a word of prayer. My Experience:

Personal Interviews: Technical Interview:
1. Questions were from one programming language (For non-IT and non-CSE students it will be C or what you have mentioned in your Resume).
2. Then questions from that branch or department will be asked (would be almost from the basics).
3. Also sometimes your strengths or field of interests would be asked (From your subjects). Human Resourse:
1. Questions will be general as you have a technical round before it. Questions will be as * About yourself *Why do you wish to enter banking or IT field* Future plans* Why should I hire you* Why do you wish to become an engineer* What do you expect from i-flex*What do you like in yourself
2. Questions from your resume will be asked. You will be asked to explain the objective or aim that you have written in the Resume.

Infosys

PAPER ON 21ST JULY

APTITUDE:

All questions were of REASONING type -----30 questions(R.S Aggarwal reasoning book is more than enough)

here time management is very important

One question was time consuming for me and

that was from the puzzle test so be prepared wid all 7 models of PUZZLE TEST

we had DATA INTETERPRETATION and as i couldnt solve the 1st question properly i had to solve this

so dont waste time for the questions u cannot solve instead do the one which is easier n refer(r s aggarwal quantitative aptitude for this)

mostly bar charts, tables and pi charts are given(we were given a table)

5 questions were from FIGURES

we were given 3 figures followed by a '?'

in this the 1st two figures are have some relationship b/w them n based on that we hav to pick an answer figure which matches the 3rd figure

this was an easy one

5 questions were from SYLLOGISM

this was a bit different from wht i thought

they give 5 statements naming them a,b,c,d,e

then the answers choices were like 3 were paired eg:1)abe 2)dbe 3)aeb 4)dae

n we hav to find the pair which corretly matchs it if u do r.s aggarwal n r perfect wid all rules of syllogism i dont thing this would b tough

5 questions were of DATA SUFFICIENCY type

i felt this was easy

the questions i remember were from mensuration, length of train, ages of people

thts it in this part, we were not told the cutoff but i think its better to try for atleast 20 out of 30

VERBAL:

40 questions were there

i scored 24 marks

there were 2 RCs one was of 2 pages i attempted in the last 5 min but i did it well i believe

then we had

correction of sentences

fill in the blank with correct word

around 5to 6 passages for which we had go choose the correct summary

u hav to read these very fast

time management is very very imp. here

do not waste even one min looking here and there coz tht one min costs a loooooooot

finally i was called my name for HR n i was on the top of the world

i actually got thru wipro also but the joy of getting into a dream company is just great

one should definately experience it

HR:

One important thing is tht dont think tht its just HR

u should always remember tht there is one more hurdle to pass

in my 1st interview i hav learnt a lot "wht to do n wht not to do in the HR round" so if u hav not yet been placed then first analyze why tht has happened n try to improve on that coz there r huge oppertunities in this world

some way or the other u can get thru once u improve on ur flaws

so be confident and dont be jelous abt the ones who hav already got its a very bad thing

My HR round was coool

HR: come in swathi

me: yes sir

HR: cmon take ur seat

me: thank u sir (he had asked my resume and asked me to sign on it n also at few places on the application form)

HR: so ur father works as so n so

me: yes sir

HR: so where does he work

me: said

HR: do u hav ny bros or siss

me: said

HR: whr did he do his scholling

me: said (so be prepared wid ur family members' details also)

HR: so ur hobbies r travelling n music

me: yes sir

HR: whre hav u travelled

me: said a lot of places in India n i mentioned tht i like cold places

HR: k then which was the coldest place u saw

me: shillong in winter, then comes munnar

HR: so would there b snow fall fall

me: (me sadly)no sir yet to see such a place once

HR: do u like travelling coz of ur fathers transferable job

me: no sir even otherwise i never miss a chance to travel

HR: he gave me 3 topics and asked me to speak on 1

me: spoke abt supermarket (he was impressed)

HR: is there an incident in ur life whr u hav improved or had to changed ur work culture

me: said

HR: then she asked me abt my paper presentation(it was on face detection which comes under AI)

PAPER ON 17th JULY MJCET , HYDERABAD

Hello friends , this is harsha tumuluri, i would like to thank all the students who gave their suggestions at the frehshersworld.com....we had our infosys campus placement today at Muffakham jah college of engg and technology , it was an oncampus for us....

At first the pre placement talk will be given , please do listen to that carefully and if possible jot down some necessary points...i would rather suggest u to learn about the history of inofosys from the wikipedia.org or u can go to the infosys website....

After the preplacement talk we were asked to fill up the forms , the details of that will be given by the ppl over there...but do fill ur %'s correctly as they may later on verify and they even take the signature from u stating that all the data written on that form is true...

QUANTITATIVE EXAM: 30 questions 40 minutes
1) The quant paper was average , the first question was a shocker and it was a big paragraph in which a question related to the card game "flash"
was asked(sorry i dont remember)
2) Questions 5 to 10 were on the figures , 3 figures will be given and u have to spot the next figure.
U can get these questions from classifications chapter in R S Agarwal(non verbal reasoning)
3) Questions 10-15 were on data sufficiency(RS Agarwal section 1 verbal and non verbal)
4) Questions 15-20 were on data interpretation ,some pie chart was given and questions were asked on that.(data interpretation RS agarwal
quantitative aptitude book)
5) Questions 20-25 were on questions like u need to contruct a table and fill in the date to answer such question.(I would suggest u to do the
entire puzzle test chapter in the RS agarwal verbal n non verbal reasoning book perfectly)
6) Questions 25-30 were syllogisms, they were not the regular syllogism's like 2 statements will be given and u need to derive a conclusion , 6
statements were given and u need to find out the corect combination of the sentences which form a sense.
These type of problems can be found in RS agrawal(verbal n non verbal ssection 2 -logic) do all of them.

Blood relations, number ranking sequence ,series , cubes and dices are very important although they were not asked for us....

ENGLISH EXAM: 40 questions 30 mins
If ur basics are strong then no need to go through any books , yeah but if u want to have practice then try to solve the problems of wren and martin grammer n composition
(prepositions, tenses, direct and indirect speech, conditions statements)
2 RC's will be given , dont start with this , time will not be sufficient...
start with other sections like sentence corection(10 Q's) , fill with appropriate word (10 Q's), deriving conclusion from the passages(10 Q's).
some people wuld suggest to solve CAT problems for this but i personally feel that the questions given were not even close to the CAT standard....they were very simple.
But yeah u can go thru the correct usage of the tenses and prepostions from the CAT material...
We waited for 2 hrs and after that the results were declared , i was shortlisted..

HR INTERVIEW:
Try to stay very cool and calm , i know that it is very tough but just try to b e relaxed. Don't panic b4 the interviewer , just consider them as ur frends or consider him as a person who doesnt know anything and u are explaining to him!! Keep smiling and be confident , they look at ur confidence....They will have a look at ur resume and then ask questions from them , will give u a sheet of paper in which there will be 5 topics u have to choose one and speak on that topic , one real time problem will be given and how do u face that...and finally puzzles will be asked..
be prepared with topics like IT companies growth , which sectors in india are considered to develop in the next few years....If u have organized any event then they will ask u about that event n the difficulties faced in that event and how did u overcome it?? few puzzles will be given like

1)how can u make 5 one rupee coins to touch each other...every coin shud touch the other 4 coins...
2) U are given a 3 containers 20 liters , 5 liters and 3 liters and the 20 litre can is full of milk , u need to get 4 liters of milk somehow by using all the containers..
3) 6 match sticks will be given u need to contruct a structure such that it has 4 equilateral triangles...ans is contruct a pyramid with base as triangle

Guys be careful about ur hobbies , one of my frends said that his hobby was volleyball and immediately the HR person asked doubts like what is the weight of the ball , dimentions of the court and height of net etc.....the interviewer is just trying to annoy u by asking these questions , dont panic and say confidently that u dont know!
or else u learn every thing about ur hobbies....I am a fan of tennis so b4 going to the interview i learned that weight of the tennis ball is 57g and height of the net is 36 inches in the middle and 42 at the ends , the different courts and etc....
go to wikipedia.org to find out more information

PAPER ON 26th JUNE AT HYDERABAD

hi, This isVAMSI iam from biomedical engg,JBIT,i got selected for infosys, here is the whole test paper. There will be two rounds one is the written test and the other is HR.In written test thr will be two sections:

1.General aptitude
2.Verbal

the aptitude section is given 40 min to solve and the verbal is given 30 min. if u prepare well for the exam u can solve aptitude section in less than 40 min

1.In general aptitude the first q is on cubes, the q goes like:There is a cube of size 15cm and is cut equally into smaller cubes of 3cm each and is painted with red ,yellow and green on opposite sides based on these answer the following q
(1)how many number of cubes will be there with no sides painted??
(2)how many number of cubes will be there with 1 side painted???
(3)how many number of cubes will be there with 2 sides painted
(4)how many number of cubes will be there with 3 different colours painted on there sides?and one mre q i couldnt rememberbut it was an easy one,i solved it in less than 2min.

2.this is to find the missing figure.one can solve this easily by jst looking at it.its very easy.
3.this one is on data sufficiency.even this is easy,.concentrate on SI,CI,profit and loss, geometry.
4.DI.this is the difficult section ive come across..do this at last.the q goes like ,there is an hydropower station ,the water is stored in the reservoir and is usedto run the turbines ,the water in it is drained bewen 5pm and 8pm andreplenished between 5am to 10am ,the next day and the content in it is measured at 11am.and below a tabular column is given with some unknown parameters a,b,c,d,e,f,g.we need to find them.it si very time consuming

5.this one is a puzzle..u find this type of problems in VERBAL AND NONVERBAL REASONING BY RS AGARWAL..go through "puzzle test" exercise in it.this one is also easy but a bit tricky
6.this one is based on syllogisms...goin through syllogsm exercise in RS agarwal jst gives u an idea on how to solve, but the one u get in infosys exam are pretty different from those in RSagarwal ,there is no necessity to remember those 9 rules dont waste time by doin so..the model which we came across in the exam is like:

they will give u five statements a,b,c,d,e. and below 4 options each option consists of three statements like abc or adc or bcd .we need to find the option basing on the condition that the last statement should be derived form first two.even this section is easy..

2. Verbal...this section is very easy and needs no kind of preparation.u can do it if u r good at grammar..

next is HR..they jst see how u r responding,ur communication skills.most of the interviewers asked abt situational q and puzzles...it doesnt matter whether u solve it or not..but don give up keep on trying....if u get a good score in written test ur chance of gettin into infy wll b high.

HOPE,THIS PAPER WILL HELP U..........

PAPER ON 22nd MAY AT VISAKHAPATNAM

hi all frehsers, n engineers....recently infosys visited our campus ( ANITS, Visakhapatnam) on 22nd may 2007.233 candidates appeared only from our coll. and at the end 99 made through.

The written exam pattern is completely changed it consists of two sections :
---Reasoning
---Verbal ability

In Reasoning all over 30questions were asked for 35minutes
1st five questions are of "Number Ranking and sequencing"

few questions which i remember:
1. IF Ram's rank from the beginning is 10th in a classroom of students and ranks 12th from the last. how many students are there in the classroom.
ANS. 9 students before ram +ram+ 11 students from end==== 9+1+11=21
similarly some models of above..

2. IF therre are 31 students in a classroom and if ram stands 13th from beginning ,wat is his rank from the end.?

3. IF Ram ranks 12th from beginning and Shyam ranks 11th from end . and if Ram and Shyam exchange their places. then Shyam's rank from end is 15th from end . wat is the rank of Ram from the beginning now?

4.& 5. similar model.
6----10 questions were based on missing figures ,
11----15 were based on DATA SUFFICENCY (easy ones only)
16--20 were based on data interpretation
A pie chart which gives the distribution of the "times group magazine"it consists of two cirlces ,the incircle gives the disturbution of one newspaper "times of india" and the outcirlce gives the distribution of " indiatimes.com" on same parameters.......
5 questions were asked on this piechart
doesnt need much of calculations...

21--25 seating arrangemnt of 11 students A,B,C,D,E.F,G,H,I,J,K. ( 4 CONDITIONS WERE GIVEN LIKE)
D ,who sits to immeidite left of E,is 2nd to the left of C.

26----30 "SYLLOGISMS" we have to draw the conclusion of two statements which are logically connected,,,it is based on distribution lists of subject and predicate in both statements,..verify " logical reasonin g by r s agarwal,or time material of reasoning"
example: some cats are dogs.
all dogs are pigs.
the conlcusion for this is " some pigs are cats"

the second paper is " VERBAL; ABILITY"----OBJECTIVE--40MIN
1---5 READING COMPREHENSION
5--10 READING COMPREHENSION( ONE EASY ONE TOUGH)
11---20 Find the correct statement from the options( grammer part jjust go through all ur basics tenses , prepostions)
21 ---25 a statement is given where the underlined phrase or line has to be corrected
we have to find the right choice from the options;<>
26---30 fill in the blanks with the right option there again tenses ,prepostions,,conjunctions,,
30---40 logical reasoning where a certain situation is given we have to find the conclusion of it or the assumption of the author...
in verbal ability time management is important ...

ALL THE BEST to be INFOSCIANS

PAPER ON 19TH MAY

1.Apptitude n Reasoning
2.English

1.Apptitude n Reasoning: In this section the time alloted is 45mins for 30 questions. It consists of,
* 5 ques based on the data given (In our paper we had the data given about colours tht painted on a six sided cube n ques based on the data)
* 5 ques based on Odd fig out.(A bit easy)
* 5 ques on Data Sufficiency.
* 5 ques on Data Interpretation.(Learn abt. Bar charts,Pie charts,line graphs,etc...)
* 5 ques based on an anlytical problem.(Here v have to corelate the given facts with the help of a table n in our paper it was a bit difficult)
* 5 ques based on 9 rules of Syllogism.(plz learn the 9 rules of syllogism from R.S.Agarwal perfectly so tht u can answer thm very easily)

The way i have answered was...first i answered data related ques i.e,abt the cube colours n thn syllogism ques, next odd fig out n thn data sufficiency next data interpretation n at last analytical problem....In this way I was able to answer most of the questions....

2.English: In this section the time alloted is 35mins for 40 ques. It consists of,
* 10 ques on Comprehension passages(v will have two long passages given n 5 ques each based on each passage.plz don't start with this...)
*10 ques based on Correction of sentences(don't start with this also)
* 7 ques based on correcting the underlined phrase.
* 7 ques based on filling with an appropriate word.(Better to start with this)
* 6 ques based on paragraph n inferences(easy)

On the whole, the paper is not tht much hard to tackle but our reading speed n understanding power plays an important role...Let me tel how I have ansewered it in time...first i started with filling the appropriate word, next correcting underlined phrases n thn paragraph inferences n thn correction of sentences....n thn i was left with 10 mins...now i read the questions n the options given for comprehension n thn i searched for the answers in the given passage....so in this way I was able to answer most of the ques given...in this way i was able to answer my paper within time...whenever u feel a ques is a bit difficult plz leave it n go for the next one...don't waste even a single second...

Our test was completed by 1:20 n our results were announced at 5:30p.m n thn v had our HR interview immediately....a total of 51 members out of 150,were selected from our colg after the written test. Now let me share my HR interview experience

PAPER ON 12TH MAY

THE WRITTEN TEST PAPER--------
APTITUTE-(30 mins)

1) THE FIRST TYPE QUESTION(1-5) was a puzzle..it was something like there were 4 guests n the two host sitting on the dining table.the two hosts sit opposite..no two males sit together(it wa something like tht i dont exactly remember)..It was quite tricky and i would suggest u to attempt those at the last...

2)THE SECOND TYPE OF QUESTION(6-10) was based on figure...most of them were adjusted clockwise or anticlockwise..give a try..i hope it works for u too..

3)THE THIRD TYPE OF QUESTION(11-15) was the general puzzle question from RS Agarwal a bit time consumingbut u can do it...

4)THE FOURTH TYPE OF QUESTION(16-20)was data intepretion..this was a simple question like the other br graph questions given in RS AGARWAL..But was time consuming..So hurry through...Dont waste time looking around..And always keep calm n cool..

5)THE FIFTH TYPE OF QUESTION(21-25) were the data sufficiency questions(all of them were numerical)..For solving these questions u need to hv a knowledge of the data required to solve a question...For example if u have to find the volume of a cylinder u should know its height and radius..

6)THE SIXTH TYPE OF QUESTION(26-30) was based on syllogism..well practice them from RS AGARWAL and i will suggest u to try them with the help of venn diagram and u will do it in a flash..

ENGLISH-(40min) It had 40 questions-
1)TIPS:....just practise from any of your school days books and thats more than sufficient.and do pay enphasis on GRAMMAR.
TYPE 1) 2 Passages: the lengthiest of the questions...as every prior infoscian i too would suggest to attemp them at the last
TYPE 2) 2-3 lines given with a part underlined(containing silly grammatical mistake) .Take it as a late birthday gift..It cant get easier than that.
TYPE 3) a word was given and the closest meaning was to be selected.TIPS: :read carefully and analyse which is most suited. Its actually general words but or a bit tougher..But u can do it if u analyse carefully.
type 4) 7-8 lines complex paragraph and 4 options to each were given,we were supposed to relate each sentence with the paragraph and
choose the one which can be directly concluded from the passage. These were quite easy.I suggest you try these with a calm mind..

THE RESULTS FOR THE WRITTEN WERE SCHEDULED AT 3.30 BUT WERE DECLARED AFTER AN HOUR DELAY,59 WERE SHORTLISTED(however everyone was expecting the figure to be a lot more than this) IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE RESULTS THE STREAM OF INTERVIEW STARTED.

---6 sections---------5 questions were in each section.

Section 1:
A simple puzzle based on cube. A cube painted---6 faces----6 colors. detailed account was given.----------R.S. Aggarwal-Ex.14B page-359, q. no. 4.

Section 2:
Figure series -> 5 ques. a bit tricky, but R.S. Aggarwal more than suff. for practice.

Section 3:
Data sufficiency. 5 ques.-very very easy (R.S. Aggarwal)

Section 4:
Data Interpretation-2 figs.(correct ans. in this section would make a difference)

Section 5:
Tough puzzle--time consuming. but then good news was that, it was directly frm R.S. Aggarwal. Suppose not practiced earlier, try to extract answers. Don’t just make blind guesses.
Ques. was:--5 boys, A,B,C,D,E-two r good, one is poor................like that {page no 302, ques no 21-25(jumbled puzzles) of R.S. Aggarwal}

Section 6:
Syllogism-> very, very, easy. Free marks to score. Again refer R.S. Aggarwal (sufficient)--- Section II: logical reasoning--page no 02(u will find it there.)

As 40 mins get over, don’t be in a hurry for making blind guesses of ur own. Only question paper will have to be submitted. After a gap of 5 mins u will get English paper. That means, in this 5 mins gap ……….u r smart enuf…..
